Role overview

As a QA Engineer, you will be fully integrated within the software engineering team at kodehyve and will work closely with the product and engineering team to guarantee high quality deliveries. You help build the kodehyve operating system by making sure product development complies with product vision and requirements. QA Engineers at kodehyve require excellent critical thinking skills and must demonstrate that they can proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about kodehyve’s business and relevant technologies.

• Atlassian suite (Jira, Xray,...)

Role and Responsibilities

• Own Q&A strategy and delivery for kodehyve, including embedding QA at every step of product development and keeping the overview of the overall test coverage of kodehyve products
• Work closely with software engineer, product and business teams to analyse new features, create test cases, develop and run tests throughout the product life cycle
• Plan and perform manual and automation testing of services and UI features on desktop/mobile to make sure that the product complies with requirements
• Analyse test logs: provide accurate reports with unambiguous steps to reproduce the issues reported
• Align testing process with software release milestones
• Maintain detailed and accurate progress records to enable aggregate performance and issue tracking
• Identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire team
• Challenge suggested solutions by other team members to diversify ways of thinking
• Review tests and suggest improvements
• Opportunity to grow into positions in product or program management

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA engineering in the context of larger projects, preferably B2B or B2B2C
• Knowledge of NodeJS and Typescript
• Knowledge of BDD, Gherkin, Cypress is an advantage
• Experience in going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritisation and pre/post-launch execution
• Understanding of software development phases and methodologies (agile, scrum)
• Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills
• Strong sense for UX/UI
• Web based product experience
• Outstanding written and verbal communication ability to a diverse stakeholder audience
• Proficient in English. Proficiency in French is an asset, German, Luxembourgish, Portuguese and any additional European languages are a plus
• Ability to strive in fast-paced environments
• Pragmatic and aware of business concepts communicated by the business team and kodehyve customers
• You have a growth mindset, are not afraid to fail and have a desire to develop your skills and grow while making the team grow with you
